Our Process

Building a custom pool can seem daunting.  We take great pride in being thorough and meticulous to deliver our clients the best possible build!
Shirley Design

(2-3 days)

Step 1: Consultation & Design

Initial consultation with a follow-up onsite visit with Tyler to survey the area and discuss a detailed plan. Receive a 3D drawing to scale, layout, and estimate. Work on revisions until the desired look is achieved within budget. Sign contract and schedule dig day!

(1-2 days)

Step 2: Excavation

Dig Day! Set forms and gain approval from the client. This process is reliant on soil and weather conditions.

(1 day)

Step 3: Structure Steel

Reinforcements! Rebar is placed by hand to create the structural integrity by bending and forming the steel to the shape of your new swimming pool.

Equipment Set.HEIC

(1-2 days)

Step 4: Equipment & Plumbing

Hayward Equipment and rough plumbing are installed after steel installation. Here we will install lines for the main drains, skimmers, return lines, waterfalls, spa, etc. Plumbing is designed for optimal circulation & filtration.

(1 day)

Step 5: Gunite

A mixture of sand, rock, and cement called gunite is applied around the steel reinforcement creating the shell for your pool. This will cure for several days.

(3 days)

Step 6: Electric | Gas

Control panel mounted, pumps and equipment wired and electrical conduits turned up. Gas lines are also ran for any pool heater, fire pit or outdoor kitchen appliances.

(3-5 days)

Step 7: Tile & Coping

Stone and tile including waterline tile, toe tile to accent steps and benches, veneer stone on spa and retaining walls, and coping that caps the pool shell wall is installed by our expert mason. Water features including deck jets, waterfalls, sprayers, etc. are installed as well.

Step 8: Pool Deck

Home stretch! Concrete is poured and finished or pavers installed to create a beautiful finishing touch around your pool.

Shirley Plaster.HEIC

(1-3 days)

Step 9: Plaster

Plaster is the finishing touch to the gunite structure. Plaster is applied to the interior surfaces of the pool shell in order to create a smooth, waterproof surface.

Final Step! Start Up & Pool School

Meet with Tyler to receive your new pool guide, warranty manuals, and discuss maintenance, troubleshooting tips, and any other questions you may have!
